Emiliano Malagoli

In 2011, his life changed dramatically when he lost his right leg in a road accident.

He underwent over 15 surgeries to save his left leg, which remained seriously compromised.

It was at this point that he reached a turning point and began his second life.

He possessed immense strength and motivation and had no intention of giving up.

Everyone tried to dissuade him, but Emiliano was resolute: he had to get back on a motorcycle.

Every day he went to the orthopedic clinic to create a prosthesis that he could use for racing motorcycles, and 400 days after the accident, he returned to the track at Mugello.

The sensation he felt was truly emotional, an incredible positivity that led him to decide that if he could get back in the saddle, so could other disabled young people with a passion for motorcycles.

In 2013, he founded the Di.Di. Diversamente Disabili Association, together with motorcycle champion and the first woman federal technical official of FMI, Chiara Valentini.

Emiliano pushed beyond every limit imaginable and…

Became the Italian and European Paralympic motorcycle champion!

An unthinkable achievement for someone whose life changed in a few seconds…

Despite numerous projects and commitments, Emiliano always seeks new challenges.

Thus began a long preparation because he wanted to run the New York City Marathon, a grueling 42km race. A record-breaking endeavor because, if he participated, he would be the first Italian with a prosthesis to attempt such a feat.

Despite the objective difficulty of the situation, compounded by the less-than-optimal physical condition at the time, Emiliano participated and completed the marathon. This was in 2019.

It brought him immense satisfaction and made him realize how crucial mental strength is in never giving up.

He decided to replicate this achievement and also completed the Berlin Marathon a few years later, in 2022.

Today, he faces a new challenge as a paralympic triathlete.

He continues to dedicate himself wholeheartedly to helping disabled young people, students throughout Italy, and children hospitalized in hospitals, bringing smiles and showing everyone how wonderful life truly is.

Emiliano, a champion in sport and in the hearts of many.
